Phoebus is a solar deity and one of the most revered gods of Antiquity. He is the god of light, the sun, music, poetry, the arts, medicine, and prophecies. Phoebus, meaning "the shining one," is often depicted as a radiant young man, symbolizing eternal youth and beauty. Son of Jupiter and Latona (Leto), he is also the twin brother of Diana (Artemis), goddess of the hunt and the moon.
