Metallic Stones
Metallic stones stand out for their unique shine, reminiscent of metals worked by humans. Metals hold an important place through planetary correspondences, talismans, seals, and many ritual objects. Gold is associated with the Sun and success, silver with the Moon and intuition, iron with strength and protection. Minerals with a metallic appearance naturally inherit part of this symbolism and are often linked to authority, power, mastery, and stability.
Metallic stones also evoke solidity, resilience, and the ability to remain steadfast in the face of challenges. Their dense and reflective appearance gives them an image of strength and control, explaining their popularity in many esoteric practices. In occult correspondences, they support work related to protection, self-confidence, material success, and asserting authority. Their distinctive shine also recalls underground riches sought since Antiquity, symbolically connecting them to abundance, prestige, and prosperity. Metallic stones thus hold a special place in the mineral world, at the crossroads between the realm of stone and that of sacred metals used for centuries in occult arts.

Each color is associated with specific ideas, principles, or goals. Stones and minerals are no exception to this symbolic logic. Although a stone is primarily defined by its mineral composition, its color also influences how it is perceived and used. Occultists, magicians, and grimoire authors have long paid special attention to the hues of the materials they used. Grouping stones by color makes it easier to find minerals linked to a particular intention or area of work, while also uncovering the major correspondences that have long connected colors, symbols, and the practices of traditional magic.
