Divination Tools
Choose your divination tools based on the method you actually want to practice. Pendulums, runes, crystal balls, cowrie shells, scrying mirrors, Ouija boards, and cards do not require the same techniques or workspace.
For dowsing, start with a pendulum and add a pendulum board if you want to use a dial. For crystal gazing, compare the diameter of the crystal balls and the stand provided.
Runes and cowrie shells require more space for casting. Scrying mirrors are used for contemplation, while Ouija boards use their own reading layout.
Cloths, mats, and boards then help organize the surface. For small supplementary supports, see Divination Accessories.
Divination tools: choose your instrument by method.
Pendulum, runes, crystal ball, cowrie shells, mirror, Ouija, or cards: start with the method you want to learn. Each instrument requires different gestures, a different surface, and a different type of reading.

Which divination tools should you choose to get started?

Pendulum or cards?
The pendulum relies on movement and structured answers; the cards require interpreting images, colors, and combinations.
Crystal ball or black mirror?
Both are used for contemplation, but one uses a transparent or mineral sphere, while the other uses a dark reflective surface.
What are divination cloths used for?
They protect the table, define the space, and provide greater comfort for card, rune, or other divination readings.
Where can I find the user guides?
The Aeternum Notebooks and Guides separately explain pendulums, runes, Ouija, mirrors, and other methods.
