Jupiter is the Roman god of the sky, thunder, and king of the gods, equivalent to Zeus in Greek mythology. Son of Saturn and Ops, he is the brother of Neptune and Pluto, with whom he shares control over the different realms of the universe: the sky, the sea, and the underworld. Jupiter is one of the most powerful deities in the Roman pantheon and is worshiped as the protector of the Roman state. He is often invoked to ensure justice, the protection of oaths, and victory in battles.
