From June 11 to November 29, 2026, the Abbey of Daoulas is hosting the exhibition My Ill-Named Witch – Power and Magic in the Feminine, organized by the Departmental Museums of Finistère, of which our esoteric shop Aeternum is a partner.
This exhibition offers a historical and cultural approach to the figure of the witch. It relies on artworks, objects, and documents to show how this figure has been shaped over time, especially in Europe, and how it has evolved up to today. The journey highlights the different representations associated with the witch, placing them in their historical context.
The whole is presented in a setting that naturally reinforces the message. Founded in the 12th century, the Abbey of Daoulas is now a major cultural site in Finistère. Classified as a historic monument, it hosts temporary exhibitions each year around themes related to cultures, practices, and representations worldwide. Its architecture and medicinal plant gardens contribute to the identity of the place.
We are pleased to be associated with this event as a partner.
Open all summer and until the end of November 2026, this exhibition is part of the site's cultural program and offers a clear and well-documented reading of a subject that continues to hold an important place in the collective imagination.
