Spring cleaning
Spring arrives with its very real momentum. The air changes, the light settles a little more each day, and something pushes us to put things in order, to lighten what weighs us down, and to start fresh on a clearer basis. It’s a time to open up, to sort through, to leave behind what no longer belongs.
To accompany this transition, we have gathered here a selection dedicated to purification and renewal.
Hyssop, the European purification plant

Hyssop
Hyssop is one of those forgotten ritual plants, yet so powerful. Its very name means "sacred herb" as it appears in biblical texts as an ingredient in the preparation of holy water. Psalm 51 symbolically references this practice with the invocation “Purify me with hyssop,” a phrase that makes the plant the ultimate instrument of ritual purification.
Alchemists also adopted this plant to cleanse instruments and people with hyssop water. But above all, it is very effective for purifying and restoring the spirit after a magical operation, and for cleansing places after a demanding ritual.
It was later overshadowed by the success of sage with the rise of shamanism. But now you know: the European purification plant is indeed hyssop.
Other names: Sacred Herb, Wound Herb, Garden Hyssop, Southern Tea.

Purify, cleanse with Aeternum
The return of spring marks a clear moment in the yearly cycle, a time when the air changes, light returns, and the desire to restore order naturally arises. In an esoteric shop, this transition takes on a concrete dimension through purification practices. It’s not just about cleaning in the material sense, but about clearing what weighs down, what stagnates, what clutters the space and mind. Smudging with white sage fits into this logic, with a direct effect on living spaces, objects, and even clothing. The dense, herbal scent immediately transforms the atmosphere and restores clarity to the environment. Hyssop, a plant mentioned in ancient texts for its purifying properties, is used complementarily, either by smudging or as an infusion for washing floors. This purification work doesn’t require complex staging; it relies on simple, regular gestures performed with intention. Spring invites you to open windows, let the air circulate, move furniture, clean thresholds, handles, and forgotten corners. Each action contributes to an overall renewal. In an esoteric store, these tools take on their full meaning because they allow you to act concretely on your environment without unnecessary detours. Using resin incense or plant blends means taking back control of your space. Spring cleaning then becomes a true purification work, rooted in an ancient tradition, accessible and effective.
