Charles Lancelin (1852 - 1941) was a French author specializing in occultism and parapsychology. Born in Dreux, he initially trained in medicine before turning to the study of spiritual and esoteric phenomena. A disciple of Colonel Albert de Rochas, he was interested in somnambulism, hypnosis, and regression into past lives.
Lancelin also explored spiritism and attempted to photograph the invisible, drawing on the work of Papus and Hippolyte Baraduc. He is recognized as a pioneer in the study of astral travel, notably through his work Method of Personal Doubling.
Among his notable works are Posthumous Humanity and the Angelic World (1903), Fraud in the Production of Mediumistic Phenomena (1912), and The Beyond and Its Problems (1914). His work has had a significant influence on the understanding of paranormal phenomena and continues to be a reference in the field of esotericism.
