French product

The nine-day candle of Saint Anne is dedicated to the mother of the Virgin Mary and the grandmother of Jesus, revered as the protector of mothers, pregnant women, and families. This candle is traditionally used by those seeking support and blessing for matters of motherhood, fertility, and child-rearing, as well as by those wishing to strengthen family bonds.

Used in a ritual of nine consecutive days of prayer, the Saint Anne novena candle helps channel the guiding and protective energies of this beloved saint. The essences incorporated in this candle, such as rose for love and compassion and chamomile for peace and relaxation, create a sacred space conducive to meditation and invocation.

By lighting this candle, you ask for Saint Anne’s intercession to navigate the challenges of parenting and to receive her guidance in the education and well-being of children.

The dedicated prayer is printed on the back of the novena.

Note: this candle is made to be used over a period of 9 days. However, storage and burning conditions may affect this duration.

Saint Anne Novena Candle: Light for Families, Faith, and Fertility

The Saint Anne novena candle accompanies prayers focused on patience, trust, and passing on traditions. It supports intentions related to family, motherhood, education, and fertility, as well as the quiet requests made by those seeking discreet but deep support. Lit for nine days, it illuminates the hearts moving forward in waiting, hope, or care for others. Its light soothes, protects, and connects generations in a shared trust in God.

A Figure Passed Down Through Ancient Traditions

Saint Anne does not appear in the canonical Gospels, but her name is found in apocryphal texts, such as the Protoevangelium of James, which tell of her life of prayer and hope. With her husband Joachim, she endured many years without children, lived in sadness but without rebellion. Her faithful faith eventually received a divine promise: she would give birth to a daughter blessed above all, Mary. This ancient story has touched generations of believers because it speaks of waiting, refusal to resign, and the inner strength carried by faith.

A Flame for Mothers, Educators, and Homes in Prayer

The Saint Anne novena candle can be lit to ask for help and protection in family relationships, to support a motherhood project, or to accompany a path of education and transmission. It is addressed to mothers, grandmothers, teachers, but also to all who bear responsibility for the younger ones. In Christian art, Saint Anne often appears alongside the young Mary, teaching her to read, a tender image of knowledge passed on with love. She is especially venerated in Quebec, at Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, but also in many homes, where she remains a close, simple, and deeply reassuring ally.

The right gesture

How do you use a ritual candle?

A candle is a physical support for magical work: its flame accompanies a prayer, invocation, request, seal, talisman or more elaborate operation. Before lighting it, clearly define the aim of the work, then choose its colour and, if desired, the most suitable moment.

It may be used as it is or prepared by carving a name, a few words, a symbol, seal or intention into the wax. It may also receive a small amount of ritual oil or powder suited to the work.

Three key choices Intention · colour · moment A precise gesture matters more than quantity.

Correspondences

Which candle colour should you choose?

Correspondences may vary between schools. These associations provide a clear foundation for Western ritual magic.

  • White

Purification, peace, protection, clarity, spiritual work. A neutral colour when no specific one is available.

  • Black

Banishing, distancing, severing, protection, neutralising unwanted influences.

  • Grey

Neutralisation, calming conflict, erasing an influence, discretion, distance, finding a middle ground.

  • Red

Passion, desire, courage, strength, vitality, action, willpower.

  • Pink

Affectionate love, tenderness, reconciliation, closeness, affection, friendship.

  • Green

Money, prosperity, growth, fertility, material development, business.

  • Blue

Peace, harmony, calm, healing, protection, loyalty, emotional balance.

  • Dark blue

Authority, justice, protection, professional success, legal matters, social influence, work under Jupiter.

  • Yellow

Intelligence, study, communication, trade, eloquence, mental clarity.

  • Orange

Success, opportunities, energy, attraction, openness, progress.

  • Purple

Personal power, ambition, mastery, authority, occult faculties, spiritual work.

  • Gold

Sun, success, radiance, honours, vitality, recognition, achievement.

  • Silver

Moon, intuition, dreams, receptivity, perception, lunar workings.

Before lighting

Prepare the candle

01

Carve

Carve a name, request, word, symbol or seal into the wax with a needle, point or small tool kept for this purpose.

02

Anoint

If the ritual calls for it, apply a very thin layer of ritual oil to the wax. A few drops are enough.

03

Dust

If the work includes powder, use only a small amount so that it adheres to the oil.

Never overload the candle. Keep clumps of plants, resins, powder or oil well away from the wick: the candle must be able to burn normally, without an excessive flame.

Planetary rhythm

Which day should you choose?

Each day of the week is associated with one of the seven classical planets. Choosing the day aligns the work with the nature of the operation.

SundaySun

Success, authority, recognition, vitality, accomplishment.

MondayMoon

Intuition, dreams, home, receptivity, lunar matters.

TuesdayMars

Courage, strength, defence, conflict, action, separation.

WednesdayMercury

Trade, communication, study, writing, intelligence, negotiation.

ThursdayJupiter

Prosperity, expansion, social success, justice, authority, honours.

FridayVenus

Love, attraction, closeness, pleasure, harmony.

SaturdaySaturn

Limitation, distancing, severing, obstacles, closure, constraint work.

The planetary day begins at sunrise — not at midnight.

Work performed before sunrise therefore still belongs to the previous planetary day.

There is no requirement to wait for a specific day. This system simply helps you choose a moment aligned with your aim when you wish to give the operation more structure.

Going further

Refine the timing with planetary hours

You may begin during the hour of the planet that matches your intention: a Venus working on Friday during an hour of Venus, or prosperity work during an hour of Jupiter.

These hours are not always 60 minutes long. The time between sunrise and sunset is divided into twelve periods, then the night into twelve more. Their length varies with the date and place.

The day and hour do not both have to correspond: the day provides the first framework and the hour simply refines the timing.

Putting it into practice

Light the candle

Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant holder. Light it at the start of the work while stating your prayer, invocation, request or intention, then continue according to the practice being followed.

Some operations call for the candle to burn completely; others use several successive lightings. There is no universal rule that it must always burn to the end: follow the instructions of the rite first.

Here, we don’t judge.

No matter where you come from, what you believe in, or what you’re looking for: you belong here. You can be a beginner, curious, a casual practitioner, or a daily witch. What matters is sincere intention.

We believe in all forms of magic.

High magic and its rigorous rituals deserve as much respect as spells passed down in the countryside. We read grimoires, respect rites, listen to old stories. Everything practiced with faith deserves serious and curious attention.

We welcome all traditions.

We don’t put one path above another. We talk hoodoo, kabbalah, Christian prayers, elemental magic, folk rituals, Celtic symbols. What matters is respect. Not the label.

We work cleanly.

Each package is carefully prepared by us, here in France. Before shipping, it is purified so it arrives at your home cleansed and positively charged. We strive to use recyclable packaging and reduce our impact as much as possible.

We stay available.

Customer service is us. Not an AI, not a robot, not a call center. If you have a question, a doubt, a problem, you reach us—the same people who select the products, write the descriptions, and prepare the packages.

We stay human-sized.

We are a small passionate team with big ambitions, hands in the herbs, books, and boxes. And we want to keep it that way.

Prayers and intercession.

A novena is a spiritual practice involving the recitation of prayers for nine consecutive days. This Catholic tradition originates from the nine days the apostles and the Virgin Mary spent in prayer between the Ascension and Pentecost. Novenas are dedicated to saints, archangels, or sacred figures, accompanied by novena candles, to ask for their intercession in specific areas such as healing, protection, or problem resolution. They symbolize perseverance, faith, and devotion.
