This Tolu Balsam Spirit (ritual liquid tincture) will allow you to add the ritual and aromatic benefits of this resin to your inks and blends. The earliest uses of these concentrates were found in the Papyri Graecae Magicae (Greek papyri dating from the 2nd to the 5th century BCE), containing rituals, prayers, invocations, magical recipes, and ritual instructions.
This preparation is suitable for all workings related to creativity, imagination, and dreams.
You can also place a small amount in a dish to diffuse its scent without producing smoke, or to anoint a ritual object (note that the tincture leaves a coating and may affect certain metals such as copper).
This spirit is a traditional maceration of the resin in very strong alcohol for 30 days. It is contained in a dropper bottle.

Spirit of Tolu Balm is a ritual liquid tincture that allows you to incorporate the symbolic properties and characteristic fragrance of this resin into many magical preparations. Plant and resin tinctures have held an important place throughout the history of Western esotericism. The Papyri Graecae Magicae, a vast collection of magical texts written between the 2nd century BCE and the 5th century CE in Greco-Roman Egypt, already mention the use of numerous resins, oils, perfumes, and plant extracts intended to accompany ritual operations, invocations, and the making of magical preparations.
A traditional tincture for creative work
Tolu balm is appreciated for its warm, sweet, and balsamic fragrance. In ritual practice, this Spirit supports work related to creativity, imagination, inspiration, dreams, and artistic expression. It can be incorporated into ritual inks, liquid mixtures, talismanic preparations, or used to enrich certain recipes inspired by ancient grimoires. Just a few drops are usually enough to impart its aromatic and symbolic qualities to a preparation.
A ready-to-use Spirit
This Spirit can also be poured in small amounts into a dish to naturally diffuse its scent without combustion or smoke. It can also be used to anoint ritual objects when tradition calls for it. Due to its resinous nature, this tincture leaves a slight residue after evaporation and may damage some sensitive materials, especially copper or other unprotected metals. It is therefore recommended to perform a test beforehand before applying it to a valuable object.
