Saint Anthony of Padua is one of the most popular and venerated saints in Catholicism, known for his eloquence, deep devotion, and his ability to find lost objects. Born in 1195 in Lisbon, Portugal, he was baptized Fernando. At a very young age, he joined the Order of the Canons Regular of Saint Augustine before becoming a Franciscan in 1220, changing his name to Anthony in honor of Saint Anthony the Great, after being inspired by the martyrdom of five Franciscans.
Anthony is famous for his powerful preaching and theological teaching. He spent most of his life in Italy and France, where he preached with such fervor and eloquence that even the hardest hearts were converted. In addition to his preaching, he is recognized for his ability to comfort the poor and help those in need. Saint Anthony possessed a deep knowledge of the Bible, which allowed him to provide relevant and consoling answers to the faithful who came to him.
Saint Anthony is often invoked as the patron saint of lost objects, a devotion that began anecdotally: according to legend, a novice who had left the order took with him a psalter that Saint Anthony frequently used. After praying for its return, the novice came back and returned the psalter. Since then, many devotees turn to him when they have lost objects or face urgent spiritual needs.
He is generally depicted in Franciscan habit, holding the Child Jesus, a lily, or a book, symbolizing his purity, knowledge, and special relationship with the Child Jesus who is said to have appeared to him. Saint Anthony died on June 13, 1231, in Padua, Italy, and was canonized less than a year later, which attests to the immense impact of his holiness and ministry. His feast day is celebrated on June 13, the day of his death.

Connect with the Divine.
Incense holds a very special place within the Church, and more generally in religions. An offering of the Magi, resin incense is highly valued because it represents the purest form of incense. More practical, there are now liturgical incense sticks associated with Archangels, Saints, and religious symbols accessible to everyone.
We offer in our esoteric shop a wide selection of religious incense, whether to ask for help, intercession, or connection.
— Religious incense in 6 questions .
Here is an overview of the most frequently asked questions. Of course, there are no silly questions, so if the answer is not here: you can contact us.
What is called religious incense?
This is an incense used in a spiritual or sacred context, often during prayers, masses, processions, or rituals. It can be natural resins (such as frankincense or myrrh), blessed blends, or incense prepared according to traditional recipes linked to a holy figure or liturgical use.
How to use a religious incense?
You can burn it on hot charcoal, in a censer, or a heat-resistant dish at the beginning of a prayer or ritual. Let its smoke rise slowly while stating your intention or reciting a prayer. It can also be used to cleanse a room or an altar.
What is the difference between religious incense and esoteric incense?
Religious incense is directly linked to a devotional practice or a specific spiritual figure, such as an archangel, a saint, or a holy person. Esoteric incense works more according to a magical intention (protection, prosperity, purification) outside of any established religious reference.
What is the purpose of the smoke from a religious incense?
It creates a sacred space, raises the vibration of the place, aids concentration, and attracts blessings. In many traditions, smoke acts as a bridge between the visible and invisible worlds, carrying prayers to the spiritual realms.
Can you use a religious incense without being a practitioner?
Yes. This type of incense can be used in a personal spiritual setting, even without following a specific dogma. It is primarily a tool for connection, reflection, or petition. What matters is your respect and your intention.
Do you offer religious incense in your shop?
Yes, you will find in our esoteric shop religious incense in resin or powder form, linked to figures such as Mary who Unties Knots, Saint Michael, or the Sacred Heart. Each incense is presented with its spiritual function and instructions for use.
