Aeternum
Dagyde Candle Woman in Chains
This red dagyde candle represents a woman chained in love bonds. It is therefore useful in workings aimed at influencing, even manipulating.
It allows for a more directive approach than dagydes for united couples, which work on harmony and balance. Here, you act on the willpower of the other, making it a firmer intention, used when love is threatened by outside temptations or emotional instability.
To increase its effectiveness, you can anoint it with a love oil and a fidelity powder.

Buy a Red Dagyde Candle of a Chained Woman in Our Esoteric Shop
This red dagyde candle represents a woman chained in loving bonds. It is intended for workings where one seeks to exert a strong influence in the emotional realm. Unlike dagydes of united couples that aim for balance and harmony, this model is linked to firmer intentions, focused on control and fixing wills. It thus becomes a powerful tool to maintain a relationship threatened by instability or external interference.
A Tool to Strengthen Wills
The symbolism of the chained woman expresses the loving bond in its most directive aspect. Used in a ritual, the dagyde candle allows acting on the will of the other and reinforcing attachment. It addresses situations where affection weakens, whether due to temptations, doubts, or unwanted influences. Its role is to support the practitioner's intention by giving firmness and consistency to the action undertaken.
A Ritual Support to Be Directed Precisely
Lit with a prayer, a formula, or accompanied by a suitable oil and powder, this dagyde candle channels intention and concentrates energy on the targeted goal. It is especially recommended in workings where emotional stability must be strongly affirmed. Placed on an altar or used in a ritual circle, it becomes a material witness to the will to strengthen a bond, ward off threats, and consolidate a wavering relationship.
The right gesture
How do you use a ritual candle?
A candle is a physical support for magical work: its flame accompanies a prayer, invocation, request, seal, talisman or more elaborate operation. Before lighting it, clearly define the aim of the work, then choose its colour and, if desired, the most suitable moment.
It may be used as it is or prepared by carving a name, a few words, a symbol, seal or intention into the wax. It may also receive a small amount of ritual oil or powder suited to the work.
Correspondences
Which candle colour should you choose?
Correspondences may vary between schools. These associations provide a clear foundation for Western ritual magic.
- White
Purification, peace, protection, clarity, spiritual work. A neutral colour when no specific one is available.
- Black
Banishing, distancing, severing, protection, neutralising unwanted influences.
- Grey
Neutralisation, calming conflict, erasing an influence, discretion, distance, finding a middle ground.
- Red
Passion, desire, courage, strength, vitality, action, willpower.
- Pink
Affectionate love, tenderness, reconciliation, closeness, affection, friendship.
- Green
Money, prosperity, growth, fertility, material development, business.
- Blue
Peace, harmony, calm, healing, protection, loyalty, emotional balance.
- Dark blue
Authority, justice, protection, professional success, legal matters, social influence, work under Jupiter.
- Yellow
Intelligence, study, communication, trade, eloquence, mental clarity.
- Orange
Success, opportunities, energy, attraction, openness, progress.
- Purple
Personal power, ambition, mastery, authority, occult faculties, spiritual work.
- Gold
Sun, success, radiance, honours, vitality, recognition, achievement.
- Silver
Moon, intuition, dreams, receptivity, perception, lunar workings.
Before lighting
Prepare the candle
Carve
Carve a name, request, word, symbol or seal into the wax with a needle, point or small tool kept for this purpose.
Anoint
If the ritual calls for it, apply a very thin layer of ritual oil to the wax. A few drops are enough.
Dust
If the work includes powder, use only a small amount so that it adheres to the oil.
Never overload the candle. Keep clumps of plants, resins, powder or oil well away from the wick: the candle must be able to burn normally, without an excessive flame.
Planetary rhythm
Which day should you choose?
Each day of the week is associated with one of the seven classical planets. Choosing the day aligns the work with the nature of the operation.
Success, authority, recognition, vitality, accomplishment.
Intuition, dreams, home, receptivity, lunar matters.
Courage, strength, defence, conflict, action, separation.
Trade, communication, study, writing, intelligence, negotiation.
Prosperity, expansion, social success, justice, authority, honours.
Love, attraction, closeness, pleasure, harmony.
Limitation, distancing, severing, obstacles, closure, constraint work.
Work performed before sunrise therefore still belongs to the previous planetary day.
There is no requirement to wait for a specific day. This system simply helps you choose a moment aligned with your aim when you wish to give the operation more structure.
Going further
Refine the timing with planetary hours
You may begin during the hour of the planet that matches your intention: a Venus working on Friday during an hour of Venus, or prosperity work during an hour of Jupiter.
These hours are not always 60 minutes long. The time between sunrise and sunset is divided into twelve periods, then the night into twelve more. Their length varies with the date and place.
The day and hour do not both have to correspond: the day provides the first framework and the hour simply refines the timing.

Light the candle
Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant holder. Light it at the start of the work while stating your prayer, invocation, request or intention, then continue according to the practice being followed.
Some operations call for the candle to burn completely; others use several successive lightings. There is no universal rule that it must always burn to the end: follow the instructions of the rite first.
