What is a planetary pentacle used for?
A planetary pentacle acts as a symbolic link between the person using it and the influence of a planet. Each pentacle has a specific function (protection, prosperity, breakup, love, etc.) related to the traditional virtues of the celestial body it is associated with.
How is a pentacle supposed to be made?
According to Solomonic tradition, each pentacle must be engraved on a specific metal corresponding to the related planet: gold for the Sun, silver for the Moon, copper for Venus, iron for Mars, tin for Jupiter, lead for Saturn, mercury (or a substitute like vellum paper) for Mercury. The work is ideally done during the planetary hour and day associated with the pentacle.
