Originating from the British Isles, handfasting, also known as the "tying of the hands ceremony," "ribbon ritual," or "union of hands," is an ancient sacred marriage rite practiced by pagans for centuries. This ritual, deeply rooted in nature, remained relatively unknown until it gained popularity, notably during the union of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011.

The book Handfasting and Pagan Wedding Rituals gathers everything you need to organize a perfect pagan wedding ceremony. It offers advice and examples for planning your wedding, writing meaningful vows, and creating unique rituals. You will also find practical recommendations, ranging from ideas for budget-friendly wedding favors to safety tips for using candles and bonfires.

This work offers a multitude of ways to infuse magic and symbolism into this special day. Whether you are a traditional pagan, eclectic, or an interfaith couple, you will find inspiration among the sixteen complete rites that honor more than twenty pagan traditions. These rites, customizable according to your wishes, are categorized into three groups based on the pagan commitment they involve and the level of participation expected from your guests, allowing you to create a ceremony truly reflecting your identity.

Originating from the British Isles, handfasting, or the "tying of hands" ceremony, is an ancient pagan wedding ritual, often performed outdoors, symbolizing the union of souls. This tradition, rooted in pagan beliefs, involves binding the hands of the spouses with ribbons or cords, representing their commitment to each other. Although long kept discreet, this rite gained visibility after the union of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011, which helped popularize it worldwide.

The book Handfasting and Pagan Wedding Rituals is a comprehensive resource for anyone wishing to organize a unique and meaningful pagan wedding ceremony. This guide offers detailed advice for planning every aspect of your wedding, from writing vows to designing personalized rituals, while providing practical ideas for managing logistical aspects such as wedding favors or safety when using candles and bonfires.

The work also offers a rich variety of rituals to infuse magic and symbolism into your wedding. Whether you are a traditional pagan, an eclectic, or an interfaith couple, you will find rites suited to your beliefs and desires, among more than sixteen complete ceremonies covering over twenty pagan traditions. These rituals are categorized into three groups, based on the level of spiritual commitment they involve and the expected participation of your guests, allowing you to customize your ceremony and make it authentically yours.

Here, we don’t judge.

No matter where you come from, what you believe in, or what you’re looking for: you belong here. You can be a beginner, curious, a casual practitioner, or a daily witch. What matters is sincere intention.

We believe in all forms of magic.

High magic and its rigorous rituals deserve as much respect as spells passed down in the countryside. We read grimoires, respect rites, listen to old stories. Everything practiced with faith deserves serious and curious attention.

We welcome all traditions.

We don’t put one path above another. We talk hoodoo, kabbalah, Christian prayers, elemental magic, folk rituals, Celtic symbols. What matters is respect. Not the label.

We work cleanly.

Each package is carefully prepared by us, here in France. Before shipping, it is purified so it arrives at your home cleansed and positively charged. We strive to use recyclable packaging and reduce our impact as much as possible.

We stay available.

Customer service is us. Not an AI, not a robot, not a call center. If you have a question, a doubt, a problem, you reach us—the same people who select the products, write the descriptions, and prepare the packages.
