A triangle, a sacred name, a promise of presence. Julio presents this sign as an image of the Trinity and a means of protection through prayer.

Reading the symbolism

The triangle refers to the Trinity. Julio identifies the central name as IÉVE, the sacred name of God. The plate retains its original characters, circle, and inks; it is read together with the printed explanation, without replacing the old letters with contemporary typography.

Dominus custodit te

The Lord guards you.

The effects attributed

Julio relates the application of this pantacle to that of the triangle with three crosses presented in his other works: an invocation of protection and blessing. In his system, the expected effect depends on prayer, faith, and the blessing of the support. The figure alone therefore does not constitute, for him, an autonomous formula.

Its use according to Julio

The practical advice in the work describes paper pantacles, blessed and consecrated through a Mass. The Divine Triangle can thus be studied as an aid to protective prayer. In this description, Julio gives no planetary day, particular metal, or prescribed hour to observe.

A personal reading

For a contemplative reading, observe the three sides, then the relationship between the center and the circle. You can take the phrase “The Lord guards you” as a theme for prayer. This reading suggestion accompanies the text; it is not presented as a previously unknown rite of Julio.

The source and variants

This Divine Triangle differs from the Protective Triangle, whose description focuses particularly on the home and family. The collection will retain a separate entry and reproduction for each of these forms.
