General Description of Galbanum
Galbanum is an aromatic resin obtained from several species of plants in the Ferula genus, notably Ferula gummosa and Ferula galbaniflua. These plants mainly originate from the mountainous regions of Iran, Turkey, and the Middle East. Galbanum resin is harvested by cutting the base of the plant's stem, allowing a thick, sticky sap to flow out, which then hardens into yellow to dark green gum pieces.
