Cherubs

Cherubim are powerful celestial beings in Christianity, depicted as guardians of the glory of God. They first appear in the Bible when they are placed at the entrance of the Garden of Eden to protect the tree of life (Genesis 3:24). They also appear in the decoration of the Tabernacle and Solomon's Temple, where their images overlook the Ark of the Covenant, symbolizing the divine presence (Exodus 25:22). The cherubim have a complex appearance, with multiple faces (man, lion, ox, eagle) and four wings, symbolizing their power and omniscience. Their main role is to protect sacred places and proclaim the holiness of God.
