Since time immemorial, mysterious and benevolent spirits have watched over Nature, protecting it with dedication and defending it against threats. Present in legends and stories worldwide, they have been given many names: fairies, elves, undines, devas, fauns… These fascinating beings, half-real, half-mythical, continue to inspire fascination and respect.
For the first time, a book opens the doors to their universe. It immerses you in their secret world, revealing their habits, customs, and appearances. Through its pages, you will travel through time and space, discovering familiar creatures like dryads and sprites, but also others, more enigmatic, whose existence might surprise you. This journey invites you to explore the diversity of the true Guardians of our Earth, silent protectors of our forests, rivers, and gardens.
This work hides nothing from you. It reveals the duality of these beings: their luminous beauty, but also their darker and sometimes formidable sides. You will learn how to coexist with them in harmony, invite them into your garden through their favorite plants, or attract them by adopting certain habits. Conversely, it will also teach you how to identify and keep away those best avoided, as not all are always benevolent.
Richly documented and sprinkled with captivating anecdotes, this book is much more than a simple collection. It is aimed at fairy enthusiasts, lovers of Mother Nature, and all those seeking to reconnect with the magic that permeates the natural world.
The Great Book of Nature Spirits is a true encyclopedia, a work to be savored slowly, page after page, according to your desires and inspirations. This precious book will naturally find its place in your library and will amaze you every time you open it. An invitation to rediscover Nature in a new light, inhabited by spirits who have always watched over it.
Richard Ely, whose real name is Christophe Richard Ely Van De Ponseele, is a Belgian writer and ethnobotanist born on March 20, 1974, in Ghent. He grew up in Ellezelles, a village in the Pays des Collines region of Belgium, known for its folklore related to witchcraft. This childhood deeply influenced him, awakening a passion for folklore and the fantastic.
After studying humanities and social sciences at the Catholic University of Louvain, he pursued research on vampires, witches, fairies, and elves. He also earned a degree in applied ethnobotany from the University of Lille II, focusing his research on the use of medicinal plants, rituals, beliefs, and superstitions.
@&aRichard Ely is the former editor-in-chief of Khimaira magazine and the creator of the blog "Peuple Féerique," which he still runs. He is also the main organizer of the "Trolls & Legends" festival in Mons, Belgium.
As an author, he has published several works exploring the world of fairies and nature spirits, including The Great Book of Nature Spirits and The Great Book of House Spirits.
Here, we don’t judge.
No matter where you come from, what you believe in, or what you’re looking for: you belong here. You can be a beginner, curious, a casual practitioner, or a daily witch. What matters is sincere intention.
We believe in all forms of magic.
High magic and its rigorous rituals deserve as much respect as spells passed down in the countryside. We read grimoires, respect rites, listen to old stories. Everything practiced with faith deserves serious and curious attention.
We welcome all traditions.
We don’t put one path above another. We talk hoodoo, kabbalah, Christian prayers, elemental magic, folk rituals, Celtic symbols. What matters is respect. Not the label.
We work cleanly.
Each package is carefully prepared by us, here in France. Before shipping, it is purified so it arrives at your home cleansed and positively charged. We strive to use recyclable packaging and reduce our impact as much as possible.
We stay available.
Customer service is us. Not an AI, not a robot, not a call center. If you have a question, a doubt, a problem, you reach us—the same people who select the products, write the descriptions, and prepare the packages.
We stay human-sized.
We are a small passionate team with big ambitions, hands in the herbs, books, and boxes. And we want to keep it that way.
— You speak about it best.
