Soft wheat is a symbol in pagan and magical traditions, linked to fertility, prosperity, and the cycles of nature.
Because of its ability to thrive in arid environments, it is seen as a symbol of perseverance and abundance. Used both for making flour and for decorating altars during harvest sabbats (Lammas, Lughnasadh, or Mabon), soft wheat is associated with the celebration of the first and last harvests and offerings to ensure future prosperity.
It is also said that you should pick 7 wheat ears on the 7th day of the 7th month of the year, at 7 a.m., to call wealth and luck for the rest of the year.
