Silvana Alasia

Silvana Alasia is an Italian artist and illustrator born in Turin in 1963, trained at the Aldo Passoni Art Institute from which she graduated in 1982. She began her career in the 1980s as an author and illustrator for children before turning to realistic painting, exhibiting in several cities in Italy. From the late 1990s, she specialized in tarot illustration for the publisher Lo Scarabeo, creating notable decks inspired by great ancient civilizations, including the Nefertari Tarot, the Egyptian Tarot, and the Maya Tarot, which helped establish her reputation in the field of divinatory arts.
