Edred Thorsson

Edred Thorsson, whose real name is Stephen Edred Flowers, is an author, researcher, and specialist in Germanic and runic traditions. Born in 1953, he earned a doctorate in Germanic and medieval studies from the University of Texas. Founder of the initiatory order Rune-Gild, Thorsson is recognized for his in-depth work on runic magic and Nordic traditions. Among his notable works are Runelore and Futhark, which explore the esoteric and historical aspects of runes. He has also helped popularize modern runic studies through his numerous publications and teachings.
