Andreas Fingernagel is an art historian and a recognized specialist in medieval manuscripts. Long a curator at the Austrian National Library, he has devoted much of his research to illumination, the transmission of biblical texts, and medieval liturgical books. He is the author of numerous reference works on Western and Byzantine manuscripts.
Christian Gastgeber is a philologist and researcher specializing in Byzantine studies and the Greek manuscript tradition. Also affiliated with the Austrian National Library, his work focuses on the transmission of ancient texts, the history of libraries, and medieval scholarly culture, with particular attention to Greek and Eastern manuscripts.
Stephan Füssel is a book historian and emeritus professor at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
