Genuine Snake Shedding
Snake shed embodies transformation, regeneration, and the passage from one state to another. For centuries, it has been used in all magical traditions to support life changes and strengthen spiritual protection, far from the image of temptation in Genesis. Its most symbolic use comes from Voodoo, as the snake is linked to the loa Damballah and thus considered close to the divine. It is also used as is or ground into powder (called " snake powder") in mojos for vitality, luck, or protection.
The famous Marie Laveau had a close bond with her python Zombi. Legend has it that her power was transferred into its shed skin, which was passed on to a certain Turner to continue her legacy.
Closer to us, in Provence, tradition holds that hanging a snake shed on yourself or on a wall in the house .
