Medicinal and Magical Plants
Since time immemorial, women have been the discreet guardians of many traditional knowledges, which they passed down within the intimacy of families or to trusted close ones. These precious insights, kept away from prying eyes, have thus crossed centuries, enriching our cultural and spiritual heritage. Anne Osmont, through her sensitivity and deep intuition, managed to carry the legacy of these relics of the past into the 20th century. With an enlightened vision, she offered the world the essential work you hold in your hands, a true bridge between ancient traditions and modern discoveries.
In this book, Anne Osmont invites the reader on a poetic journey into the heart of tradition, in a garden where every flower whispers forgotten secrets, and where the shadows of the groves of the Sleeping Beauty shelter the mysteries of the Simples. Paracelsus said: « Every flower is a star on earth, every star a flower in the sky, and every man has his star. » Thus, each of us is linked to a flower, an earthly symbol of cosmic harmony, a reflection of the balance between the world above and the world below. Discovering the Simples, these plants with multiple virtues, is to open the door to an infinite universe, where the human microcosm connects to the celestial macrocosm.
The simplicity of the Simples is only apparent: derived from the Latin simplex, which also means pure and absolute, the term reveals an unsuspected depth. By using the Simples to fight evil, one accomplishes an essential act, that of the mediator between earth and sky. In the hands of one who knows them, these plants become remedies, establishing a unique vibrational harmony between man and the universe.

Since time immemorial, women have been the silent guardians of ancestral knowledge, preserved within the intimacy of families and carefully passed down to trusted loved ones. This knowledge, often linked to plants, rituals, and the energy of nature, has endured through the centuries, escaping prying eyes to become a precious heritage of cultural and spiritual patrimony. Anne Osmont, drawing on her sensitivity and intuition, revived this heritage in the 20th century, bringing a new light to it. With a vision both poetic and practical, she offered the world a timeless work that unites ancient traditions and modern perspectives.
In this book, Anne Osmont invites the reader on a sensitive and inspiring exploration at the heart of tradition. She takes us to a garden where every flower whispers forgotten secrets and where the shadows of mysterious groves hold the treasures of the Simples, these medicinal plants bearing profound wisdom. Paracelsus, one of the major thinkers of Hermeticism, said: “Every flower is a star on earth, every star a flower in the sky, and every man has his star.” These words beautifully illustrate the idea that each individual is intimately connected to a specific flower, a mirror of their inner star and cosmic harmony. The Simples thus become bridges between the world above and the world below, between the universal macrocosm and the human microcosm.
The simplicity of the Simples is only apparent. Derived from the Latin simplex, meaning “pure” or “absolute,” the word reveals an unsuspected richness. These plants, seemingly modest, contain a unique vibrational force that, in expert hands, can be transformed into a powerful remedy. By using them to relieve ailments or restore balance, one performs an essential act: that of mediator between heaven and earth. These gestures, imbued with deep symbolism, allow nature to become an ally in harmonizing energies and healing, both physical and spiritual.
Anne Osmont, born on August 2, 1872, in Toulouse, was a French poet, novelist, translator, and occultist. Daughter of Athanase Osmont, a merchant, and Antoinette Espérou, she studied at a Catholic boarding school in Toulouse. After her studies, she began her journalistic career by collaborating with southern newspapers such as L'Art Méridional and the Messager de Toulouse, where her first texts were published.
In 1898, Anne Osmont moved to Paris and joined the newspaper La Fronde. She mingled with literary figures of the time, notably Ernest Raynaud and Paul Verlaine. In 1907, her poetry collection Nocturnes was awarded by the female jury of La Vie Heureuse. She also published short stories in periodicals such as Le Journal des débats politiques et littéraires.
Alongside her literary career, Anne Osmont developed an interest in occultism. She practiced astral double projection and studied with personalities such as Max Théon and Hector Durville.
In the 1930s, she gave lectures and wrote about symbolism, metaphysics, and magic. Anne Osmont died on May 13, 1953, in Paris, following poisoning caused by a gas leak.
Here, we don’t judge.
No matter where you come from, what you believe in, or what you’re looking for: you belong here. You can be a beginner, curious, a casual practitioner, or a daily witch. What matters is sincere intention.
We believe in all forms of magic.
High magic and its rigorous rituals deserve as much respect as spells passed down in the countryside. We read grimoires, respect rites, listen to old stories. Everything practiced with faith deserves serious and curious attention.
We welcome all traditions.
We don’t put one path above another. We talk hoodoo, kabbalah, Christian prayers, elemental magic, folk rituals, Celtic symbols. What matters is respect. Not the label.
We work cleanly.
Each package is carefully prepared by us, here in France. Before shipping, it is purified so it arrives at your home cleansed and positively charged. We strive to use recyclable packaging and reduce our impact as much as possible.
We stay available.
Customer service is us. Not an AI, not a robot, not a call center. If you have a question, a doubt, a problem, you reach us—the same people who select the products, write the descriptions, and prepare the packages.
