The face of Jesus Merciful comes from the revelations received by Saint Faustina Kowalska in the 1930s. Jesus appears with two rays of light emanating from his heart: one red, representing blood, the source of life, the other pale, representing water, a sign of purification. This double radiance symbolizes a promise of redemption addressed to all. The image, now known worldwide, bears at the bottom the words "Jesus, I trust in you", summarizing the entire inner journey proposed by this devotion. This figure of Christ inspires calm, healing, tenderness, and a call to confident faith. It is at the center of the Divine Mercy feast, celebrated every year on the first Sunday after Easter.
