Oil allows you to charge the dagyde with more fluidity. You can place a drop on the head, heart, or belly. Gently massage the wax, as if to embed your intention into it. You choose a pure oil or a prepared ritual oil, in accordance with the type of work.
Oil makes the wax more receptive. It acts as a concentration channel.
3. Which plants or oils according to the intended ritual?
For protection work, you can use rosemary, rue, bay leaf, or mugwort oil. These plants set clear barriers, repel influences, and stabilize energy.
For love work, you can choose rose, verbena, jasmine, or cinnamon oil. They warm, attract, and open the heart. Apply them gently, setting your intention clearly.
For release or cutting work, you can use camphor, sage, or eucalyptus oil. These plants cleanse, lighten, and clear the field around the dagyde.
For a luck or abundance ritual, basil, mint, or patchouli oil can be placed in circles or dabs on the wax.
You don’t need to use much. A just trace is enough. What matters is the awareness during the gesture.
Combining herbs or oils with a dagyde strengthens the link between the symbolic body and natural force. And in this link, the ritual takes root, with clarity and coherence.
