IN THIS SUMMARY...
1. What energy does paraffin carry? |
Paraffin is the most common wax on the market. It makes up the majority of industrial candles, sold for decoration or civil celebrations. It comes from petrochemicals, extracted from petroleum, then purified to become a smooth, malleable base, easy to color and scent. In magic, this wax is controversial, but it is not unusable. It all depends on the intention set and how it is used.
1. What energy does paraffin carry?
Paraffin has no natural memory. It comes neither from plants nor animals. It contains no trace of life. It is neutral, manufactured, devoid of its own vibration. This neutrality may seem poor, but it can be useful in certain contexts. It acts like a blank page, an empty support on which you can project an intention without interference.
This neutrality makes it a flexible, malleable tool, entirely shaped by your will. It imposes nothing on you. But it does not support you either. It does not add anchoring or subtle stability. It is up to you to set the energy without external help.
2. When can paraffin be useful?
It is suitable for rituals where form matters more than substance. If you work with sculpted candles, very precise colored candles, or complex dagydes, paraffin offers excellent hold and a wide variety of shades. It allows you to create specific shapes, control the burning, and ritualize the object itself rather than its composition.
You can use it in rituals of direct protection, quick clearing, or targeted action, if your intention is clear and stable. It burns faster, hotter, and with a very visible flame. It is suited for breaking or cutting work, where a slow wax would be a hindrance.
It is also very accessible, making it useful for repetitive work, cyclical rituals, or experiments.
3. What are its drawbacks in magic?
It does not support long, deep, rooted rituals. It does not vibrate. It carries no memory. It can even, if poorly purified, produce heavy smoke or confused energy. It is not suitable for work related to spirits, ancestors, or natural offerings. These forces require a more living material, more rooted in the organic world.
It should never be used in healing rituals or connection with natural forces. It is not hostile, but it remains deaf. It obeys, but it does not accompany.
Using paraffin in magic means choosing a practical, flexible, fast tool. It is not a deep spiritual support. It is a technical material, useful in specific cases, but to be handled with awareness.
