Aeternum
Coarse Dead Sea Salt
This Dead Sea salt is the most commonly used salt in magic. Here in large crystals, it has the ability to absorb energies, as well as persistent astral larvae even after a place has been purified. It is also a protective tool, to be spread at the entrance of homes or to create a circle during magical workings.
⸺ Note: for ritual use only, not for consumption, not for cosmetic use.

Buy Dead Sea Salt from Our Esoteric Shop
This raw salt, harvested from the shores of the Dead Sea, is one of the most powerful protection tools used in magic. Presented in the form of large crystals, it acts as a filter capable of capturing and dissolving subtle residues that cling to places or objects, even after a traditional cleansing. This salt is especially sought after for its ability to neutralize astral larvae and stubborn energy imprints that weaken the atmosphere of a place or disturb sleep.
A Ritual Salt for Cleansing and Protection
In magical traditions, this Dead Sea salt is used during cleansing or distancing rituals. It can be poured into a bowl placed in a corner of the room, used in a ritual bath, or dissolved in water to clean floors. Spread at the entrance of a house or at the foot of an altar, it forms a barrier against invisible intrusions and prevents disruptive energies from entering the sacred or intimate space.
A Protective Circle for Your Magical Practices
This salt also fits perfectly into creating a protective circle before magical work. Laid on the ground in a continuous line around the practitioner, it defines a secure space conducive to concentration and the completion of the ritual. Thanks to its density and mineral origin, this salt establishes a clear boundary between planes, thus enhancing the effectiveness of actions undertaken in the spiritual or operative framework.
The right gesture
How to use a ritual salt
Ritual salt is mainly used by placing it down. It can mark out a space, protect a place, symbolically absorb certain influences, or accompany work suited to the chosen preparation.
A small amount is generally enough. There is no need for a thick layer: a fine line, a pinch, or a few small deposits already make the work tangible.
In the corners of a room
For salts used to purify, absorb, or protect a place, place a small amount in the corners of the room.
Salt may be placed directly on a suitable floor, but small dishes are usually preferable. They make removal easier and prevent prolonged contact with wood, stone, metal, or other sensitive materials.
The salt may remain in place for the duration of the work, then be removed and replaced if needed.
At doors and thresholds
A fine line of salt can be placed at a threshold, near an entrance, window, or passage when the work aims to protect a space or symbolically mark a boundary.
There is no need to create a large barrier. A few pinches or a discreet line are enough.
For busy passages, use a small dish nearby so the salt is not scattered throughout the room.
To mark out a ritual space
Salt can materialize a circle, a dividing line, or the limits of a working space.
Draw a fine line around the area or place small amounts at selected points. Depending on the ritual, it may also be linked to the four directions or arranged around a candle, talisman, or other central element.
The form depends on the ritual system being followed, so a circle is not required.
On the altar
A small dish of salt may be placed on the altar as an element of purification, protection, or absorption, depending on the purpose of the chosen salt.
Salts prepared for a particular intention may also be arranged around a candle, petition paper, talisman, or object used in the work.
Avoid direct contact with metal objects, jewellery, fragile stones, or antique surfaces: the moisture naturally absorbed by salt may damage them.
Around a candle or ritual object
Salt can be arranged in a circle, a line, or a few points around a candle or object, especially to isolate, protect, purify, or contain the work.
Place it on the support around the candle, never against the wick or in melted wax. Salt does not need to burn to be used ritually.
A dish or sufficiently wide tray keeps the salt away from the flame and makes cleaning easier after the work.
With a petition paper or talisman
A petition paper, written name, or talisman may be placed inside a circle of salt, between several small deposits, or near a dish containing the salt suited to the work.
This method associates the salt with the operation without placing the paper or object in direct contact with it.
Use the salt suited to the work
Not all ritual salts have the same purpose. A protective salt, a purifying salt, or a preparation devoted to a specific intention may require different methods.
When the product has a precise purpose, use it first where that purpose applies directly: thresholds and boundaries for protection, room corners for absorption, around a support to contain an operation, or on the altar to accompany the ritual.

We welcome all traditions.
We don’t put one path above another. We talk hoodoo, kabbalah, Christian prayers, elemental magic, folk rituals, Celtic symbols. What matters is respect. Not the label.
