Patrick Valenza is an American artist from Long Island (New York), known for his unique visual style that blends the strange, the macabre, and the surreal. From childhood, he developed a fertile imagination nourished by vivid dreams and oneiric visions that would become the major source of inspiration for his work. Fascinated by old cemeteries and funerary iconography, he draws inspiration particularly from 18th-century tombstones, manipulating their shapes and faces to create his characteristic lunar-faced characters.
A versatile artist, Valenza explores painting, drawing, and manipulated photography. His international recognition came with the release of the Deviant Moon Tarot in 2007, a deck that quickly gained wide success and was crowned "Best Tarot Deck of All Time" by the readers of Aeclectic Tarot.
