Bloodroot, recognizable by its red sap when cut, is traditionally used in magic for its protective power. Although it is called a root, it is actually the entire plant that is used. It is known to ward off negative influences, break curses, and create a barrier against the evil eye.
To use it, simply place a piece near the entrance of the home or in a room where you want to strengthen spiritual security. It can also be carried on the person in a small pouch to repel invisible attacks, or incorporated into a clearing and purification spell. Some use it in ritual baths or burn it on charcoal to disperse heavy energies.
Bloodroot acts as a shield. It can accompany work to break with the past, exit a harmful cycle, or cleanse after a difficult period. Keep it in a dry place, away from moisture.
