Gérard Barbier is a French author and creator of oracles, recognized for his significant contributions in the field of clairvoyance. Born in Lyon, he moved to Paris to study applied arts. It was during this time that he was introduced to clairvoyance by his drawing teacher. At the age of 16, he became aware of his gifts and decided to develop them over five years. At 21, he chose to pursue them professionally.
After three years of practice with various tarots and oracles, Gérard Barbier created his own card deck in 1991, "L'Oracle Gé," which achieved immediate success. This deck stands out for its ability to date predictions thanks to the seasonal cards and its eight specific cards representing characters, allowing for more precise interpretations.
Building on this success, he published in 1995 The Great Book of the Oracle Gé, offering detailed interpretations of each card and several drawing methods. In 2002, he launched a new oracle titled The Manuscript, followed in 2004 by The Oracle of Questions. In 2012, he released The Oracle of Itaë in a limited edition. These last two decks are available only on his official website.
