Buy the Templar Ritual Dagger in our Esoteric Shop
Inspired by the iconography of the Order of the Temple, this dagger pays tribute to the famous monk-knights who marked medieval history with their discipline, commitment, and chivalric ideals. While the historical Templars did not use ritual daggers in a magical context, their image gradually acquired significant symbolic meaning. From the 18th century onward, several initiatory currents, notably certain Masonic, Rosicrucian, and Martinist rites, maintained a spiritual connection with the Order of the Temple, making it a symbol of transmission, knowledge, and fidelity to initiatory traditions.
An Instrument of Direction in High Magic
In the practice of ceremonial magic, the dagger primarily serves as an instrument of authority. It does not have a martial function but allows the practitioner to direct their will, trace protective circles, seals, pentacles, or indicate the various directions of the ritual. Its aesthetic, inspired by the Templar universe, makes it a particularly appreciated object among lovers of medieval symbolism, collectors, and practitioners wishing to incorporate into their altar an instrument evoking chivalry and Western initiatory traditions.
A Dagger with Careful Finishes
This dagger features a wooden handle covered with braided leather for an excellent grip, a guard and pommel made of solid brass adorned with the famous red pattée cross of the Order of the Temple, and a straight carbon steel spring blade. Its double edge is not sharpened, in keeping with its role as a ritual and symbolic instrument. It comes with a matching leather sheath, allowing for protection and elegant display on an altar or within a collection.
