The developed method is based on years of work by Cyrille J.-D. Javary. Hexagrams are considered here as a language of universal scope, capable of describing the dynamics at play in human situations. The book aims to remove the difficulty related to interpreting the unique answer of the Yi Jing by offering a decoding based exclusively on the dynamics of the lines. This direct approach requires neither knowledge of ideograms nor the Chinese language. It provides the reader with a clear and coherent method to consult the Yi Jing, relying on a structured and immediately applicable reading.
Jean-René Dufour is a French author, mainly known for Le Yi Jing à la portée de tous, published in January 2017. In this work, presented as an "introductory course to the Yi Jing," he proposes a reading method focused on the play of the hexagrams' lines, aiming to make the oracle's answer more readable without studying the Chinese ideograms. The editorial presentation also indicates that this method is based on work developed over the years by Cyrille J.-D. Javary, who wrote the preface.
