The son of a diplomat, he grew up between Africa and Asia before earning a master's degree at the University of Bonn in comparative literature, English literature, and Portuguese studies.
Active in occultism for over half a century, he is among the most well-known European authors in the field of practical magic. Co-founder of the Bonn Workshop for Experimental Magic and the Magical Pact of the Illuminati of Thanateros, he also founded several movements such as Pragmatic Magic, Cyber Magic, and Ice Magic.
