1. How to prepare the dagyde for a protective action?
You choose a dagyde candle in black, white, or gray, depending on the type of protection you want to set. Black helps absorb hostile influences. White stabilizes. Gray gently blocks without aggression.
You charge it by setting your protection intention: "You are a strong, stable, untouchable body." If you work for someone else, you write their name on the wax, or place an object related to them near the candle. If you work for yourself, you hold it in your hands while silently repeating that you activate it as a reflection of your safe body.
You can draw a circle around it with salt, or surround it with protective herbs like rosemary, rue, or bay leaf.
2. What to do during the burning?
You light the dagyde in a calm moment, with focused attention. You watch its flame, visualizing an invisible armor forming around the person represented. You remain silent, or mentally affirm what you want to repel: intrusion, jealousy, psychic attack, bad luck.
You can write on a paper what you want to protect the person from, fold it, and place it under the dagyde. The wax, as it melts, seals the message.
You don’t need to watch the entire burning. What matters is that the fire has received your clear direction. If the wax forms a crust or a dense mass, it may indicate that the protection has been properly set.
3. What to do after the ritual?
Once the candle is consumed, you gather the wax remains. You can bury them near your home if you want the protection to accompany you daily, or throw them in a distant place if you want to cut all influence. You can also keep some wax in a small pouch, to carry with you or place in your home.
You can repeat this ritual when you feel the protection weakening, or before a difficult period. The dagyde does not act alone. It accompanies an inner decision: to stand firm.
Using a dagyde for protection means creating a wax body to repel what weakens you. And in this directed flame, you mark a clear territory around yourself or another.
