General Description of the Pricolici
The Pricolici is a mythological creature from Romanian and Slavic folklore, similar to a hybrid between a werewolf and a vampire. Unlike vampires (strigoi), the pricolici almost always takes the form of a wolf or a large dog. They are damned souls of people who, after a life of violence and cruelty, return from the dead to continue tormenting the living. Pricolici are particularly feared because of their superhuman strength and their ability to move quickly and silently, attacking solitary victims, often in the dead of night.
