Palmistry

Alomancy, or halomancy, is a divination practice based on salt. The scattering, distribution, shapes, and groupings produced on a surface serve as the basis for interpretation. Aeternum brings together several natural salts and ritual salts that can accompany this method of divination.

Salt has long held an important place in rites of protection, purification, consecration, and boundary-setting. In alomancy, it also becomes a medium for reading. A small amount can be scattered over a dark or light surface, then observed according to the chosen reading convention.

Colored magical salts make it possible to add a ritual correspondence to the work. Red, green, blue, black, or white may be associated with different intentions depending on the method followed. Protection salts are more closely associated with warding and defensive work.

Dead Sea salt, Himalayan pink salt, and other natural salts offer a different medium from colored preparations. They can be used in a consultation, on an altar, or in a purification rite, depending on the intended purpose.

Alomancy joins the Divination Arts alongside tarot, runes, the pendulum, and crystal scrying. A practice journal makes it possible to record the question, the arrangement obtained, and the interpretation given during each session.
