Oswald Wirth
Oswald Wirth was one of the major authors of French-language occultism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. A close associate of Stanislas de Guaita, he worked on tarot, Freemasonry, and initiatory traditions.
His name remains closely associated with the Wirth Tarot, developed from 1889 onward and centered on the twenty-two major arcana. His approach had a lasting influence on esoteric tarot readings in France.
