1. Choose the right time |
The rose of Jericho is not an ordinary plant. It is not planted, does not grow, and does not bloom. It opens, or closes. And this slow, silent, powerful movement marks the beginning of a ritual. Awakening this plant is much more than a practical gesture. It is an invitation to renewal, a call to life, a promise of opening. The moment you place the rose in water sets the tone for everything you want to set in motion.
1. Choose the right time
You do not reactivate the rose at random. You choose a calm, unhurried, aligned moment. The morning, the new moon, a Friday, a Sunday, or a day marking a symbolic beginning (a new month, a change of season) are often favorable. But more than the date, it is your inner state that matters.
If you want to activate an energy of prosperity, choose a clear, bright moment. If you are seeking to turn the page, favor a day of silence, retreat, and recentring. The awakening of the rose should correspond to a threshold you are ready to cross.
2. The opening gesture
Take a shallow bowl, a deep plate, or a wide container. Pour in room-temperature water, preferably non-chlorinated (spring water, filtered water, or rainwater). Place the rose with its rounded side facing down, with the roots touching the water. Do not submerge it. The water should not cover it, but simply touch its base.
You can say a simple phrase, silently or softly. Not a fixed formula. A clear intention, calmly expressed as you place it down.
Leave it undisturbed. It does not open before your eyes. It takes its time. Within a few hours, the first branches spread apart. Within a day or two, it opens wide. This rhythm is the beginning of the magical work.
3. Respect its process
Do not touch the rose while it is opening. Do not force anything. It does not belong to you. You accompany it. Each opening is different. If it opens quickly, the passage is ready. If it takes time, the space is preparing slowly. You observe and adjust your inner rhythm to that of the plant.
As it opens, you can place an object in the center (a coin, a stone, or a piece of paper with a word on it). You can also change the water every day, gently, without disturbing the branches.
Awakening a rose of Jericho is about sending a signal. It is not a test. It is an act of presence. A way of saying to the universe: “I am ready for this to open.”
